Directions to the Foyer of Charity
Through Waterford City
Coming from the M9 follow the signs for Waterford City. Drive straight into Waterford city. The train station will be on your left. At that roundabout take a right over the bridge (keeping in the left lane). At the traffic lights take a left and stay in the left lane. Drive straight down the quay (the river is on your left). At the end of the quay the road veers around to the right (with the Tower Hotel on your left). At this set of traffic lights turn left.
You are now on the road to Dunmore East. Keep driving straight, passing the hospital on the left. Drive approximately 5-6 miles. You will see a crossroads saying Tramore and Waterford Airport to the right. Keep straight for approximately another half a mile. The road shortly veers to the left and goes uphill. Then you will come to a staggered crossroads, take a right onto a small road, L4073. Follow the road for a quarter/half a mile until you come to another small crossroads. You will see an entrance to a driveway just to your left, with a wooden sign ‘Nazareth’ on the wall and a cattle grid. Drive down the driveway, park the car and you are very welcome!
Via toll bridge and bypass
When you come off the motorway at the first roundabout take the left for Waterford. Go into the right lane. At the next roundabout take a right to go over Waterford bridge and through the toll (€1.90). After the toll take the next exit for Tramore, Dunmore East. Keep driving straight, through approx. 11 roundabouts following the signs for Dunmore East. At the last roundabout the hospital is in front of you, take a right onto the Dunmore East road.
